SEDUCTIVE MUSIC ANZAC WEEKEND 2010 .....come
join us!
Sacred text combined with seductive music - a recipe for a huge
buzz for choristers and audiences. The beautiful Faure Requiem
is much loved and never more appropriate than on Anzac Weekend
in memory of those who gave their lives in time of war. This
glorious music juxtaposed with verse & other beautiful music
comprises the majority of the concert entitled "In Flanders
Fields " in Port Macquarie Baptist Church.
Renowned Sydney organist Heather Moen Boyd will once again be
displaying her magic on the pipe organ ensuring these two concerts
are not to be missed. Musical Director Robyn is keen to build
up the number of male voices for this music as many know it
& have sung it previously - " the male parts are simply
glorious " she says. The Cantorus SATB choir with an enviable
reputation for excellence rehearses each Monday at MacKillop
Senior College Hall in Port Macquarie from 7 00 - 9.30p.m. Robyn
may be contacted on 0407 007 993 for more information. |
